17 time Grammy-winning banjo innovator Béla Fleck joined us at Mountainside Studio for an intimate live in-studio performance and conversation in collaboration with Charlottesville’s listener-supported radio station WNRN. Recorded in our purpose-built, acoustically designed studio in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, the session featured high-fidelity audio capture, multi-camera video, and a small live audience—creating a uniquely immersive listening experience.

Margo Price – Live In-Studio Session
with WNRN
Grammy-nominated Americana artist Margo Price joined us at Mountainside Studio for an intimate WNRN 30th Anniversary Live In Studio performance alongside guitarist and harmony vocalist Logan Ledger. Recorded in our purpose-built, acoustically designed recording studio in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Charlottesville, Virginia, the session was recorded and mixed for broadcast on the listener-supported independent radio station. The performance was presented in front of a small audience of WNRN VIP members, creating a unique live studio concert experience.
Morgan Wade featuring Kesha
Tracking session and creative moments with Morgan Wade and producer/guitarist Clint Wells, captured during the making of “Walked on Water”—a powerhouse collaboration with Grammy-nominated artist Kesha featured on what came to be known as the album Obsessed. We also recorded guitars, vocals, and piano for "Halloween", as well as the title track "Obsessed". The band was kind enough to invite us to their show, where I snapped a great pic with my iPhone at the Paramount Theater. Floyd, VA should be proud.
Greensky Bluegrass - Live in Studio Session with WNRN
Touring behind their Billboard #1 album Stress Dreams, Greensky Bluegrass stopped by Mountainside Studio to record an intimate radio session for Charlottesville’s WNRN. Their live take of “Grow Together” brought both warmth and power to the room. The band later invited the Mountainside crew backstage at their concert that night at the Ting Pavilion — such a fun session!
